I love that meme, did it myself a couple of months back. I love the snippets you've teased/provided us with here. The Borigas can work so well as a modern au, though I've never written them in one myself. I love your "Lu calls him it affectionately, Cesare Not Affectionate At All" comment.
Also that while you love writing Ces and Lu, it was most interesting for you to write that Micheletto scene, that was interesting to read. I think you always learn something about a character when you write them, and if it's not a character whose POV you normally write from, it can be eye opening :)
