I definitely do feel there's a bit of these people being very loving parents, and in some ways even good parents, but woefully unprepared.

QFT. They all three love the hell out of the kid, but they are all up in their own issues too and... like, none of them has anything in their background that prepares them for knowing Thing One about even "average ordinary" kids, much less their own bright little Force-sensitive spawn? (In fairness, nobody any more in their timeline knew Thing One about Force-sensitive kids, and I would also frankly regard any childrearing manuals to come out of the Old Republic Jedi Academy as deeply suspect because of all that nonattachment garbage WHEN IN FACT HUMAN CHILDREN NEED TO BOND WITH PEOPLE HELLO, ahem.)

And, just, basically, a lot of yes about everything else in your comment generally. (Ahem. On Leia getting pregnant damn near immediately: post-Endor victory celebration. Ben was conceived... well, I was going to say on his dad's bunk in the Falcon, but also possibly on one of the control panels, in the pilot's seat, up against a bulkhead, you know... there were kind of a lot of opportunities that night is what I'm saying.) (Though my version of the story has it taking Luke calling the question to get Han and Leia to stop carefully dancing around the issue because they both wanted a kid and neither knew if the other would freak out.)
