And so much yes on their collaboration on upgrading each other. Such a nice subtle nuance of... Anakin. The quirks in his sense of self--- because he's been property, just like the droids, and he's a person who's been property, and he's also part machine now like they are, and... just... the layers in that. Self as object, self as machine, droids as people. (Have you read any of Fialleril's Double Agent Vader fics? They play with that idea too.)
