I just posted about it on Tumblr, but I'm still sort of '??????'

Somebody actually started a venting thread about me on ffa! And I figured it'd be Tolkien or SW, where I am (if I'm honest with myself :P) a justifiably wanky target, but no! It's someone who really likes my Austen posts on Tumblr but is annoyed at my P&P 1995 hateboner and that I spend more time thanking people for nice tags (not their words :P) than writing.

It's amazing. I'm slightly put out, but mostly flattered.

I tend to like f_fa, tbh, though with a lot of reservations (as an ace lesbian, I felt I was constantly in a crossfire until that thankfully got banned). I think it's genuinely good for people to have an escape from the purity-obsessed hysteria of contemporary fandom, and f_fa acts as a necessary pressure valve. But by its nature, there is a lot of individual cruelty and mobbishness, even with fairly rigorous moderation.

This was petty more than cruel, in any case—they said outright that they like my meta, say, they just feel attacked by my hatred for the 1995 and annoyed with my habit of responding to compliments. Not fun to stumble over, but still funny in its own way. People have said worse things about me there, honestly.
