I'm happily participating in the Fic Positivity Meme, as both reader and writer, and it's—super nice, of course! But also it's reminded me of how much less stressful Dreamwidth conversations are.
I can talk to people without worrying about exposing them to my followers, most of whom I know nothing about. I can talk to people without worrying about exposing myself to followers! So I'm not constantly re-writing simple posts, I'm not stuck vagueblogging because I'm annoyed but I don't want to be responsible for a dogpile, etc. And of course there's f-lock, all glory to it.
And icons. Always icons.
But mostly, I'm not second-guessing everything I say, and—yeah. Nice.

Dreamwidth is so great, though. TBH if DW was just a bit more active, I'm not sure that I wouldn't just about leave Tumblr altogether. But I'm weak for constant validation, haha.
