This is a really good meta & I really love the emphasis on how after Hunsford he just was not expecting to see her again. People talk about how she changed him sometimes & I never realised how kind of insulting that is? He definitely changed because of her, because she showed him himself through her eyes & he didn't like that person, but he didn't change for her at all & that's really important. Because honestly, changing for a person other than yourself is messed up no matter what gender you are, & putting that kind of pressure on a person isn't fair.

But someone who teaches you something about yourself & inspires you to change for the better for your own sake is definitely someone you want to marry if they're down for it.
