Honestly, S3 was so much of a mess--not just the incest stuff, but the plague storyline that didn't really go anywhere despite four episodes or whatever's worth of build-up--that I just got the sense that Neil Jordan was just Done with the show in general and wanted to wrap it up once Showtime gave it the axe and didn't really care anymore. Which sucks! Because I also feel that everyone else was still invested in the show and he wasn't.
