It was SO WEIRD, and mostly affirmed my opinion that Andrew Davies is ... really fixated on supercharging heterosexuality whether it's appropriate to the story or not. The treatment of Isabella was definitely ehhhh, too. But the treatment of reading is so much the core of NA that it just ... taints the whole thing for me.
