I know how it goes too, at least sort of vaguely. The Elliots are invited to a fancy dress/costume ball for the New Year but Lady Elliot is sick with what is going to kill her later that year, so she stays home and Lady Russell stays with her and they are quietly in love. Sir Walter, of course, goes to the party without her and socializes and both Lady Catherine and General Tilney are there and they very much into each other and at some point Sir Water runs into Wickham (who is in Bath for reasons I have not yet worked out) and Sir Walter basically picks up Wickham and takes him home to boink. I suspect this is my Sir Walter/Canonically Hot People coming in. But I have a harder time writing period than normal stuff, even when my writing mojo isn't mysteriously disappeared, so it may be a long time in coming.

(I did get my remix done but even that was pulling teeth. I don't think I'll have an AU Big Bang ready for, well, the AU Big Bang.)
