I devoutly hope that Dreamwidth never adds a reblog function. Yeah, it keeps activity slow and quiet, but at least conversations are conversations, and my inbox is largely peaceful.
For sure! It's pleasanter and more streamlined (and, of course, free of ads) than LJ, but essentially structured for that kind of fandom and conversation—which was my formative fandom experience! I've never fully reconciled myself to the migration to annoying modern fandom platforms, lol. Tumblr is the least annoying of them for me, but I still prefer journal fandom platforms. (And Twitter/TikTok fandom is like... the worst fandom timeline.)
