So this is mainly an excuse to squee over Revenge again, because how much do I love the nuances of how you went into Obi-wan's role in Vader's fall, how you elegantly unpacked the whole "I thought I could train him better than Yoda" and the whole "I taught him war"--- okay, my unofficial rule is that any PT-era fic that makes me want to hug Anakin is Doing It Right, and right then I just wanted to smish the poor boy, so, yeah.
But it is also to say that in the event you have any urge to wander about in the EU, may I suggest Death Star and Shadow of the Empire? Both of them are by Steve Perry, the former with Michael Reeves, and despite the fact that SotE was written before the PT, the Vader there manages to be internally consistent with the Anakin we see in the PT. (And also there is a wonderfully loathsome villain.) And DS has this lovely reflection or refraction of some of the PT issues that I can discuss (read: squee about) ad nauseum.
