I am possibly more fascinated than I'd be otherwise if I hadn't read fialleril's fic before I actually got around to watching AOTC and ROTS, but still, AOTC!Dooku is interesting merely by virtue of being a Jedi-turned-Sith. (I kind of wish there'd been no Grievous and he was the Dragon all the way through. Also, that the Separatists weren't purest evil -- if we're going to have moral ambiguity, let's have some moral ambiguity! And it would be the most hilarious thing ever if the Separatist movement ended up as the proto-Rebellion.)

Yeah, I think it's really the headspace. But then, there's Anakin -- it looks like war is pretty much what he's been trained for (not that this affected my version in Revenge, or anything). He could leave the Order and be an officer in his own right, but if his problem is war itself, he's kind of ... where can he go? What can he do?

Oh, thanks about Polgara/Durnik. I mean, as a ship it's not especially compelling for me anyway, but ... it's totally cool for the ladies to be unequal. If it's about lifespan, Vella's going to die pretty soon in sorcerer terms; even Ce'Nedra's dryad lifespan can't really approach Garion's, so ... yeah, no.

OMG, Barak and Merel. Yeah. No please, Eddings.

Ooh, awesome prompt. I'll post in a little bit.
