I just watched Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express! The action scenes and various people held up by guns were kind of forced and jarring, but mostly I enjoyed it.

I was mostly annoyed by the moustache. (Suchet is My Poirot so everyone gets judged against his portrayal) Other than that I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to and it wasn't one I'd read/watched an adaptation of before so the twist was fun.

Aww, I remember when I first saw a Suchet adaptation—I was already a Christie fan as a kid (I gradually bought every one of her books at the local used bookstores!) and he was just my vision of Poirot brought to life. Branagh certainly is not, though I can see what he's trying to do.

I've always really loved the twist in Orient Express and it's always interesting to see how it's handled!
