Formatting all these old(er) Tolkien posts got some wheels turning in my mind, so I was idly thinking about general Gondor stuff and suddenly my brain was like:

Hey. HEY. Faramir can probably remember the fall of Númenor more clearly than his mother's face.

...anyway, I'll leave that cheerful thought with you all as well.

Bonus: my personal headcanon is that he "sees" the Downfall from the Meneltarma, perspective-wise, and has thus seen Tar-Míriel die many, many times. So he actually has a much clearer sense of what Míriel looked like than what Finduilas did (though Finduilas's death is also linked to the sea ... and Faramir also has a vision of Boromir being carried out to the sea ...)
