I didn’t used to mind all the posts about how hating Star Wars is part of being a SW fan, but at this point … I kind of do.

It’s fine if people have love-hate relationships with their canons. But for me, it’s not really how I relate to it these days. I don’t care for every bit of SW material, or even every bit of the subset that I personally count as canon, sure. But I don’t hate it, either, and overall, I’m a SW fan because I like Star Wars movies.

I don’t think I’m some rare unicorn, either! Some of us just don’t relate to it in that “part of being a true SW fan is knowing it sucks” way, and it’s like we’re Doing It Wrong or something.

And … nope, we’re not.
