I was glancing over the AO3 version of the Lucy fic I'm working on rn, and I'd forgotten about the person who Seriously Objected to me using "Lucy" for f!Luke instead of "Luka" or something bc "Lucy" is too mundane for SW.
...Unlike, say, "Luke," one of the most common names in the English-speaking world.
(I actually did consider "Luka," in fact, but decided that "Lucy" is more comparable to "Luke" in English media usage and would correspond better register-wise. I'm generally more concerned with that than exact conversion.)
