BG3: cleric-cleric update
Still hoping it'll be cleric/cleric eventually!
But an interesting thing happened that I wasn't sure would actually happen—in addition to standard "Cleric" response options that she gets occasionally, Ilzara has started getting response options specific to her deity, Eilistraee.
For instance:
Instead of the standard Seldarine drow response to Kagha of stating she doesn't serve Lolth, she got a more aggressive response about serving Eilistraee tyvm. She got another with Volo when he was talking about the goblins' former god. And the most interesting is that she got an appalled cleric of Eilistraee response to Shadowheart. Cleric vs cleric is a go! :D
I still want to romance Shadowheart and am going to try to do so, but I think the strain between them as clerics of very different gods adds a really fun fillip of tension between them. :D :D

She does get specific cleric and cleric of Eilistraee options that don't always (or usually, thus far) require rolls at all. I didn't get any until I arrived in the grove, though, which makes it seem doubly strange that druids don't get much of it. I guess there might not be a mechanical counterpart to the choice of deity for druids, maybe?—clerics choose their domain (life, light, war, etc) that gives them their mechanical abilities and there's a choice of deity (which I'm guessing can have major consequences since you can serve full-on evil deities, but at this point is mostly flavor).
I love the game so far, but I am wondering if maybe it kind of defaults to treating more "churchy" approaches to religion with more attention to detail.

Oh I got lots of druid specific dialogue in general, especially in the grove! Just not really with Shadowheart specifically on the topic of religion.

Hmm, not that I remember, but I might have missed it.
