BG3: an unexpected Gale interlude
I really did want to romance Gale in a game, but not with my cleric specifically—yet Ilzara got an interlude with him I never got with Alexandra the paladin, whom he also approves of.

I don't know if it was part of an update or if some complicated factor was in place that ensured Ilzara got it, but there was this whole thing where Gale helped Ilzara do arcane magic, with quite a few cleric-specific interactions, and babbled about the goddess Mystra. I'm really curious how that would go if I was a cleric of Mystra herself rather than Eilistraee; as it was, Ilzara was like "your devotion is. commendable. but make sure you don't dismiss other gods, such as mine." But she was able to do the arcane magic with help from Gale and her Guidance spell, and it was all very soft and touching and potentially very shippy. Sorry, Gale, I like you a lot and someday the stars will align, but Ilzara only has eyes for Shadowheart.
I do hope I can get the sequence again when I do decide to romance him, though. It was really cool. He even seemed wistful about Ilzara having magic straight from Eilistraee. Veryyyy interesting.
