It's a common thing for fandom to say you know you ship it when all the songs are about your ship. Like relating to all the love songs means you're in love or something :)
I have a lot of ships/fandoms/characters I love/OCs and I find it adds something to a song when it reminds me of one, or inspires me in some way :)

For sure! There are some beloved songs that get so attached to a ship or character that I can't associate them with anything else, and the moment they come in, I'm thinking about my fave, haha. Though it's also fun when I'm like "this song is about five different faves, actually."

Yes! I've even been sent songs by people who had never even read/watched the thing with my ship in it, but had followed me long enough that the song reminded them of the ship anyway. It's great.
