Icons!
I have a gazillion icons, but only made a few of them personally. But I thought I would share the ones that I did make!

Faramir (bookverse tyvm). It comes from a picture by Catherine Karina Chmiel, while the words are Faramir's canonical position on the Ring.

Jane Austen. She would totally be an INTJ if the MBTI had scientific validity! fight me! The picture is actually of Austen—I think by Cassandra?

Your humble blogger, via some dollmaker or other. I was deep in Austen fandom back then, and semi-notorious for killing off a ton of characters, so I cheerfully embraced my persona of Elizabeth the Bloody. I feel that the teacup and bloody shawl really make it.

Cèsar de Borja aka Cesare Borgia. The painting is supposed to be of Cesare, and imo more closely matches the historical descriptions of him than the other supposed depictions. The text (il principe) is, of course, the title of the book he stars in—Machiavelli's The Prince.

Lucy Skywalker (aka f!Luke). I looked through a ton of pictures to try and get across my image of Lucy, and then one day just stumbled across a shot of Emilie de Ravin that exactly matched up with my mental picture of her.

Oh, this one. My girls!
jubaah /crocordile has been following my exceptionally slow progress on an original fantasy novel for years, and awhile back, she asked what Hogwarts Houses the leads would be in. Then she drew them! (The redhead is definitely not a Gryffindor, just being tormented by the very-definitely-a-Gryffindor on the left.)

Cassian and Jyn aka OTPPPPP. This comes from one of my absolute favourite promo pics of them.

Despite having issues with all cinematic Darcys, I do have a soft spot for David Rintoul's, and I've always liked this image of him.

Darcy and Elizabeth's engagement in the 1980 P&P. It's one of the best moments, I think.

Laura Osnes as Elizabeth from Austen's Pride, a musical version (with bonus Austen herself) that I deeply love. IIRC this shot is when Elizabeth tours Pemberley and starts singing "The Portrait Song."

Elizabeth and Darcy's engagement in the finale of Austen's Pride. It's very OTT and I love it.

Darcy!
I have Major Objections to all adaptations, so I used a painting of ... a guy with a book for Darcy, since I strongly associate Darcy with reading/collecting them. The words are Austen's; she described his character as a mixture of "love, pride & delicacy" in a letter. At the time, I felt that both his bookishness and his delicacy got overlooked in fanon Darcy, so it was a mix of "I need an icon of my favourite character" and grumpy passive-aggressiveness.

I love a lot of these! I haven't dived into the f!Luke series but I do like the idea of de Ravin for f!Luke, and I think that shot is from her LOST era when, you know, she's about Luke's age in ANH. And I highkey relate to that Jyn/Cassian icon; that promo shot has been my phone lockscreen since I got the phone two years ago hahahaha I'm fine here (the unlocked screen is of them on the beach holding each other, I love to cry inside).

Thanks! That shot was just like "...oh. there she is."

Hah, the promo has been my lockscreen too! I couldn't put anything on the beach scene there, though. I admire your fortitude :P

Also, exercising the self-control which I am famous for, I've uploaded your promo shot icon to my set as well :D
