anghraine | BG3: new ambient dialogue, starring Gale and Lae'zel

I did another quest and got quite a bit more ambient dialogue from the party members! This is one of my favorite aspects of the game tbh, though it tragically wasn't Shadowheart and Lae'zel this time. But Gale decided his scholarly curiosity about approximately everything should encompass the githyanki.

So suddenly he's like:

[That zaith'isk you mentioned intrigues me. Care to tell me a bit more?]

[Tell me, Lae'zel, what is it like on the Astral Plane? Your home realm intrigues me.]

He's very intrigued, evidently! It doesn't strike me as shippy in the way that the Shadowheart-Lae'zel dialogues teem with UST, though, at least not shippy with Lae'zel. She was pretty obviously taken aback and wanted to know why he was interested in the Astral Plane.

Gale:

[Time. Or rather: the absence of it. In the Astral Plane, everything is eternal.]

#this conversation also revealed that githyanki eggs are laid(...) in other planes bc they cannot mature in the astral one #and githyanki are only welcomed into the astral plane once they've proven themselves by bringing a mind flayer's head #suddenly i'm picturing them as very hardcore quarians on dragons lmao
