(no subject)

I increasingly feel that my novel isn’t really for children or even teens despite having children (well, adolescents) as the main characters ... and yet, the more I write, the more the scenes play out in my head as kids’ cartoons.

(I know that plenty of animation is Not For Children, but when I imagine scenes and such, I imagine them in a very kids' cartoons kind of way. But the adaptation that vaguely exists in my head is much more kid-ish than the actual novel. Also not sure why.)
