Lucyverse ramblings
Jul. 13th, 2021 12:39 pmMy Lucy feelings progressed to outlining the next phase of the story for three pages. I was always really excited to get to this section, and then when I got there, couldn't bring myself to actually figure it out beyond a few details, so it's fun to think it through. It'd be better if I liked writing action, but it'll probably continue to be 'conversations at varying levels of tension' + Emotions + vague descriptions of the unavoidable action. But I figure that, at this point, people know what they signed up for when they read one of my fics, so.
Anyway! I had a lot of ideas and it was a ton of fun. I'm deciding if I should extend the perspectives the way I did with The Imperial Menace (the end of ANH+ESB Lucy fic). Apart from one Imperial flunky, it's just been Anakin/Vader and Lucy so far. Han is still in carbonite, but we haven't had a Leia POV since Imperial ... hm. This is already 20 chapters (/67k) and has no end in sight, and Leia is in basically the same position as in canon, apart from Luke/Lucy being gone, so there's only so much to write (a big "apart from," in fairness). IDK, maybe something relatively brief. This fic in the series is mainly the Lucy and Anakin show, but I don't want to shrug off Han and Leia after spending so much time on them in the earlier fics, and with a lot unresolved where we left them. And there's stuff I want to do later in the timeline with them.
