Grad student grumbling:

I don’t care if they’re faculty and I’m a mere PhD student, my class runs until 10:00. So maybe stop coming in at 9:55???

Theirs doesn’t begin until 10:10 anyway! I get wanting to get to class early, but not to the point of showing up during someone else's class.

i also love “my class started at 10:00 am and yet it’s 10:05 and the professor of the class that’s supposed to end at 9:45 is still in there” :))))))))

The chair of my committee is probably the nicest person in our entire department and I’m still terrified of sending e-mails to him.

In fairness, this time I had to ask a question that a lot rests on, but gaaaagh why is writing to my own advisors the ABSOLUTE WORST.
