THANK you for such a thoughtful and detailed reply! And... I did not know about the takes on Anakin you mentioned but it is making a certain category of fannish reaction to Ben|Kylo make more sense to me, albeit in the most depressing ways imaginable. (Ugh, I'll be over here writing gigabytes of redeemed!Ben drawerfic if anyone needs me for anything.)
