Because they didn't refute his argument, which would have been fine -- this is, after all, someone who hasn't actually read the book, knows nothing about the character or the context, etc. I disagree with him myself. They didn't simply give differing opinions, either, which would also be fine in my books. And they didn't suggest that they could speak with authority about Darcy because they were familiar with P&P; they said that they could speak with authority about Asperger's because they had relatives/acquaintances/whatever with it. And I am deeply uncomfortable with a group of people on both sides of an argument saying "I can talk about Asperger's because I know someone with Asperger's" while blithely ignoring the person talking about Asperger's who actually lives with it.
