I finally got my meta sticky-post updated, both on dw and lj; even filtering out the old short stuff, I'm kind of stunned at how much I've managed to write. I was also a bit surprised that, in the last two years I've written far more for SW than I did for Austen in the previous six. Then I remembered that that's because a good 90% of my Austen meta happened on forums, not blogs. And most of it is gone forever. :(
In other news, not much except boring uni stuff, but I did embark upon my first step of immersing myself in a genderswap: avatars! It's a sequel, so I already have a pile of paper dolls, and instead made gaming versions (in the interests of full disclosure, only some of these are brand new). Warning for a bunch of pictures beneath the cut, if less than my usual :)
City of Heroes: Lucy Starkiller, (heroic/Praetorian) Dominator (Psionics/Gravity Control)

Her first outfit, which I quickly changed for

I think this one is just more badass.

My resistance to sweet!gentle!notremotelyaggressive!Luke carries over to girl!Luke. In case anyone was wondering. COH's character customization isn't quite what my other favourite games are, but I was happy enough with this for a first try. (Also, playing a Lucy who throws cars and forklifts around with the power of her mind was pretty badass.)

A brief defeat. She didn't go down without a fight.

This reminded me of that iconic picture of Vader, so I had to grab it.
Star Trek Online: Lucy A. Skywalker, Lieutenant inImperial Starfleet (tactical officer)

Guild Wars: Lucy Starkiller, (Ascalonian perma-pre) Monk/Warrior

The other monk hair is pretty godawful, and it entertained me to think that if Luke had been a girl, he might have gotten the cinnabuns instead. Also, eventually I'm going to get her the flame sword as a sort of fantasy counterpart lightsaber, but the longsword suffices for now.

A full-length shot!

From the character select screen. There's no customization of the default faces, but I thought this one fit reasonable well - better than the COH one, anyway.

Though better from this angle. I like the wide mouth and dinky nose, though the eyes are too small and wide-set. But never fear~
Guild Wars 2: Luka Starkiller, Guardian; quality: cunning

Easily the closest to my idea of her, though this hair is actually more Luke than Lucy. In McQuarrie's girl!Luke concept art (a phrase that will always make my day brighter) she wears a low ponytail, more like:

The eyes and eyebrows are particularly "right" for me; in the pictures of Luke that I was using as a model, his nose looks straight and narrow, just a little bigger than this, but I know it looks different in other shots. I shrugged it off as sexual dimorphism (he got Padmé's nose, it just looks a bit different on a guy, and angles and things, and then he broke it!) and tried to make it vaguely Padméish, but softer.

This was just for lulz. There's an adorable picture of Carrie Fisher as Leia in the same braids, and Lucy and Leia wearing these braids together promptly entered my headcanon.

Less focused on her face, here she is: badass fantasy Lucy with shoulder pads truly worthy of the 80s.
