dw/lj friending meme!
Dec. 9th, 2012 01:25 pmI found this via sqbr: being the change I want to see in my f-list, for those of us who are missing conversation on the text-based journaling sites. Mine:
1. name: anghraine at dreamwidth/Tumblr, elizabeth_hoot at lj (DW and LJ are crossposted)
2. age(ish): 26
3. primary fandoms: Avatar (mostly LOK), Austen (mostly P&P), Star Wars (don't like the prequels, but try not to be obnoxious about it)
4. other stuff you're into, but maybe don't blog about (unless you find more people who'd want to hear about it): Middle-earth (first fandom, but I haven't blogged about it in years), Narnia, Harry Potter, Doctor Who (Four!), Young Wizards, the Secret Garden, Eddings, She-Ra, Tamora Pierce, the Hollow Crown, Psych, Good Omens. Lots of stuff I never found fannish friends for and wasn't fascinated by enough to carry on all by myself. I also like multifandom discussions and fandom studies and such.
5. non-fannish interests?: Eighteenth-century literature and history, lit-crit generally, psychology (my minor), gender/sexuality, politics (American, Democrat).
6. my journal reads like...: about equal parts memes and fic (mostly one-shots and WIPs), with the occasional long-winded meta or rant.
7. f-list turnoffs: fandom gatekeeping. Anything about what constitutes true fans or what contingent is ruining fandom or the canon, and mostly condemning contingents of the fanbase rather than disagreeing with their opinions. A lot of anti-woobie rants have annoyed me lately.
