Meanwhile, this reblog brightened my day.
I've never thought of myself as particularly empathetic, or even kind-hearted—I know I can be very aggressive and I'm a stereotypical struggles-with-theory-of-mind type—but if I come off that way despite all the wank I get involved in ... well, it's comforting.

Basically absolves abusers and... just anyone ever... of the responsibility of not thinking about not hurting people?
Because the ~good people~ will ~rise above~
And... you know, roll that one out to its logical conclusion?
And it basically means that it’s good to hurt people, because it will ~separate the chaff from the wheat~, and the ~good people~ will ~rise above~ the hurt?
And, seriously, this is the opposite of anything I would personally think of as good? I cannot, I cannot.
