I'd really like to get back to tolerably well acquainted (...which I'd really like to rename), and I've even written a few scraps for the first time in years. But I have so much feedback to give my students, and then two essays to write (one of which is extremely daunting), and pretty much all fandom activity is just the break I take between Doing Things at this point. 

Honestly, there are worse problems than inspiration striking at an inopportune time, but I'm really feeling like P&P fic right now, and there's this nagging feeling that if I don't write it now, I won't be able to later.

And I can't write it now. So.
