I was telling my mother, who only uses Facebook, about why I love Dreamwidth's following functions so much (splitting subscription/following from access lock is genius!) and her mind was kind of blown. It's a significant part of the reason I always come back.

And icons. Always icons.

And there's nothing like the large and inescapable Teen Wolf ads currently haunting my Tumblr dash to make me appreciate Dreamwidth's commitment to ... not doing that.
