I feel the need for Míriel icons

Míriel the Númenórean, of course.

I was defending/waxing nostalgic about multiple icons over at Tumblr yesterday, and I also got the renewal of my paid account yesterday (I normally hate spending money, but I'm happy to support Dreamwidth!). And that means I have all my icons and the extra room for more, which got me thinking about what I could be missing.

And then I saw people going on about how ~terrible Míriel's costumes in ROP are, how much better the aesthetic of the movies was, blahblah, and given that I love most of her costumes and vastly prefer the ROP aesthetic (esp for Númenor), that's what I need! Especially the Zenobia costume... hmm. I'm not especially good at icon-making, but at least Firefox lets me take screencaps without shenanigans.

I had to enroll for a couple of credits to defend over the summer, and just got the bill. $1500, yikes.

(I have enough saved, but it would have been nice not to barely scrape by through the summer months.)

YouTube keeps recommending writing videos to me, which are sometimes fine and interesting—but more often, some random person pontificating about how you should never do this or readers hate that. Even when I have no connection to whatever the thing is, it's intensely grating, like ... who died and made you writing god? What about you makes you the spokesperson for ~the audience? Are you even the audience?

I'm guessing that the obnoxious NEVER or ALWAYS or COWER BEFORE MY ALL KNOWING DECLAMATIONS, BRIEF MORTALS approach is primarily meant to get people's attention. But it's so normal at this point that it's pretty stale in the attention-getting way, while still being deeply annoying. I guess it works for them, but bleh.
