I made an upbeat instrumental playlist for working on fic / essays, which is normally fine, but it’s a bit surreal to be writing about abuse while in the background, it’s like … cheerful mandolins.

I wrote some very intense sad fanfic to some Russian and Ukrainian pop songs that are VERY popular radio hits and every time they come up on my standard radio-pops-listening-to-Russian playlist I'm like "FUCK THIS GORGEOUS SONG IN PARTICULAR ;_;" even though neither one are particularly sad-sounding or about people grieving. Sound-memory can be VERY surreal.

They both have the trippiest, not-in-tone-with-my-mental-association music videos, too.
