The price we had to pay for the tie-in content we actually are here for!
Hadn't seen any of your thoughts on The Mandalorian yet but also: can you believe I have latched on to Cara Dune? What totally unpredictable behavior :P
Heh, I don't think of live-action as tie-in content, so that helps! (Then again, I didn't intensely dislike anything so much as I was "meh" about a lot of it, so there's that.)
I didn't really feel the need to comment on The Mandalorian because I just liked it so thoroughly, without the BUT AGHHHHH I have with RO. But yes, I am utterly shocked that Cara is your type :P
I think (for me) part of this is because RO is self-contained in a single movie; we have the whole story at our fingertips and have had it since walking out of the theater. TM is great in many of the same ways but since I know everything is in evolution it's the more normal "this is a thing I really enjoy!" level.
