anghraine: the symbol of gondor: a white tree on a black field with seven stones and a crown (gondor)

I have my issues with Aragorn, but one of the things I really enjoy about him is that he has an actual goal and is actively pursuing it, while simultaneously prioritizing more important or morally imperative things.

This doesn’t make him flawless by any means, but in a lot of ways, it’s really refreshing. Consuming self-doubt is so often treated as a default, and somehow obligatory for heroic characters, and I get ... really tired of it sometimes.

That's actually a really good point. And having this other goal as opposed to "EVERYTHING IS THE MISSION".
