My best friend of 24 years is moving out to my part of the PNW (exciting!). Separately, I've been told that I'll likely be given a certain full-time job if I finish my dissertation this summer. Should that go through, we're thinking of co-renting a good-sized apartment or something in the city. We've talked vaguely about it since high school, but never with remotely concrete plans, and all going well (/crossing my fingers), it finally seems like a real possibility (very exciting!). I'm really looking forwards to it, even though parts of the diss are a slog.
