One of my PhD program friends is a truly amazing DM and just invited us to a new campaign (over Discord) and told us to ask him any questions we have

I have a LOT but my brain is pretty much just emitting joyful screeches rn

#when i saw his post i was just like... pretty sure my pupils turned to hearts #now we'll see if i get to play my celestial pact warlock

[ETA from 7/18/2023: I did get to play my warlock, and we ended up playing that campaign for over two years, and we actually finished it! But there was a big retcon towards the end because a couple of players got mad about how my character's arc went. It involved my character being mind-controlled at the DM's whim, so they didn't really have a problem with me, just blamed the DM for their own very bad decisions about how to deal with it. The retcon was fine, but the whole thing gave the campaign a bitter aftertaste for me in retrospect that I'm still trying to get past. It's mostly a good group, but there are a couple of members I can't really trust the way I did before. :\]
