Ugh, the current thing I’m working on has a scene that I’ve resisted getting rid of for years (it was both difficult and enjoyable to write and I really like it as it is), but the story basically starts off fast-paced, grinds to barely moving, starts picking up, and then jump-starts to full speed again.

It doesn’t all need to be fast, of course, it just … feels so uneven and The Scene doesn’t help with that.
