So I've finally caught up with where my rejected Dark Urge character had been, and finally looked up Things To Do At Level 3 That Don't Get You Massacred. It turns out I'd missed—
—part of the Emerald Grove hidden behind a bear, so I wandered out and ran into Alfira. We had a very sweet conversation in which I helped her write a song in memory of her dead mentor and there was a whole musical number with panning shots of the grove and everything. Wyll and Shadowheart seemed to really like it (Gale was inexplicably absent), and she's very adorable, and, also,
she's the person my previous character brutally murdered.
I'm really glad I didn't find her the first time around because it would be EVEN WORSE. I'd figured out that she was someone you could encounter and have a conversation with in the grove, but not that it was so involved and you get such a clear sense of her personality and suffering and, well, artistic struggles. So the murder can be even more horrifying!!! Yikes. But she's fine now and I'm not a murderer of random bards, it's fine!
