anghraineMulti-shipping is good and all, but … it’s not going to work for everyone, it’s not going to work in all circumstances even for people who do it, and it’s not a cure-all for the ills of fandom.
I have fandoms where I multi-ship (Faramir/Éowyn + Faramir/Aragorn!), but I also have ones where I don’t (e.g. Darcy/Elizabeth), and it’s incredibly irritating when people are all “just take off your shipping goggles!” about EVERYTHING.
Sure, I could, but also, I could not. And I like my shipping goggles right where they are, thanks.
#don't get me wrong: multishipping is nice and multishippers are generally boons to fandom #buuuut also there are def fandoms where i'm just ... nah #and no i don't need to hear the good news of multishipping #some 'otps' are just ships but some are O T P S and like. that's fine #it's fine if people don't multi-ship anything #it's fine if they multi-ship everything #just. whatever
