I'd figured I could pass my theory class, barely, if I got 100% on my paper on race in SW. It turns out I got a C+, so I can only assume I got something like 115% on it. (It required three sources and I had a page and a half, so maybe I did.) Otherwise, an A (creative writing, of course) and a B, so I'm rather relieved and feel, again, like writing.
So - if the fic meme and the iTunes meme got together and had a love child, it would be this meme, grabbed from emeriin:

on 2012-03-29 01:59 pm (UTC)Canon Star Wars please. 6, Obi-Wan; 18, any movie canon, 25, Anakin.
Ridiculously late, but here!
on 2012-05-12 12:46 am (UTC)Obi-Wan had never thought of his Coruscant apartments as luxurious. He had taken a vow of poverty when he became Qui-Gon's padawan, and been happy to do so.
He supposed he should have guessed, from Anakin's initial shock, that the Order's standard of poverty and Tatooine's were not quite the same. It was one thing to live quietly in spare, colourless rooms, possessing nothing but a few sparse furnishings. He was a Jedi Knight and victorious general; the Order and the Senate had naturally provided him with both the necessities and small comforts of life, and would have been glad to do more.
He had never asked for more; he was a Jedi, called to the ascetic life. But compared to the living he now eked out of the desert, that life was positively decadent.
#18--wonderful, counsellor/the prince of peace/everlasting father
Luke and Leia Skywalker were scarcely a few minutes ago when Yoda, Bail Organa, and Obi-Wan Kenobi decided their fates.
Luke was the oldest, his father's son and heir. He would bear Anakin's name and fulfill his destiny, destroying the Sith for good. He would take up Anakin's place as warrior and conqueror and vessel of the Force. He would continue the Jedi even when all others failed.
Leia was Padmé's daughter. She would be raised by Padmé's allies and bear their name, shaped into princess, queen, and senator. She would fight when necessary, but depend more on her words than her blaster. She would not be chosen by the Jedi, but instead bear the hopes of the Republic.
Twenty-two years later, Leia Organa would resign from the Rebellion's leadership, taking up a uniform and blaster; her brother, tossing his lightsaber aside, would choose peace.
And Anakin Skywalker's destiny would be his own.
#25 -- too late to go back to sleep
Darth Vader was incapable of weakness or exhaustion. The Dark Side had lifted him above such things—he believed. He had told himself he believed.
He didn't know. He had changed again; it didn't matter any more. Nothing mattered, except his son's agonizing death, and his daughter about to be captured on the moon below.
Anakin knew Palpatine's lightning would kill him. Separate him from the last of his family. Grant death the final victory over him, and possibly accomplish nothing. He didn't care. He was tired, and the Skywalkers had had enough—enough of masters, enough of suffering at the hands of their masters, enough grudging submission.
After everything, there was still something he could do for his family. He would keep his children free, or die trying.
