(no subject)

One of the weirder experiences in fandom is that ... it's pretty obvious that most people who follow me are doing it for the meta and either don't read or don't like the fic. It's not devastating or anything, but they're so intertwined for me that it feels pretty strange at times.

(I guess it makes a certain sort of sense, in that I went for a career in literary criticism over creative writing because lit-crit spoke to me more ... or something like that. Still, I'm pretty "..." about it.)
