Sometimes I get a glimpse of what discourse in other disciplines looks like and I'm just O___O

(Not that economics discourse is great by any means, just...it's so....WHAT?)

Yeah, I ... have a lot of opinions about how other academics tend to lord over the humanities and dismiss our expertise, but there are definitely certain strains in English where I'm just like, 'y'all, we're not actually here to be a home for the rejects of other disciplines.'
