Divinity rambles!

anghraineI'm playing Sebille in Divinity: Original Sin 2 and it's really different.
I've always played as Lohse (sometimes easy-going musician, sometimes vessel for a demon) before, with Sebille (former enslaved assassin, current seeker of vengeance) as a loose cannon of a companion that my Lohse was generally trying to keep under control and win over. But with Sebille as the main character, it's possible to tone down the ~dark and edgy~ characterization quite a bit while retaining her anger and intensity.
This time, I took on the Red Prince (former imperial overlord in the same society that enslaved Sebille and many of her people, current schemer for a return to power), which I've never done before, as he can be incredibly irritating. But I wondered how the relationship between Sebille and the Red Prince would develop, and ... well, I've already had the option to straight-up murder him (the temptation was real), but managed to get him as a companion instead. I have NO idea how that's going to work out. But even though he's incredibly shitty to her when you recruit him—like, "I'd kill you for escaping slavery if you hadn't saved my life" shitty—he actually likes her a lot better than Lohse does.
I'm also bringing along Ifan ben-Mezd, who is probably my favourite of the companions (helped by a really enjoyable VA), and although he always got along well with Lohse when I played as her, he definitely has a stronger rapport with Sebille. I'd been going to romance Lohse, but now idk. Ifan likes me better, anyway.
But even with Sebille toned down, this is definitely the bloodiest playthrough I've had. We wiped out the violent camp boss and his... like, five minions at level 2 (aaaand now we don't have people to buy skills from, but I wanted to be true to character and the whole team was going FUCK THIS GUY). So! That's what I'm up to in my copious free time.
