Darcy’s take on Elizabeth’s family in his letter is pretty dickish, but also, it warms my dead cold heart when he’s like … the shit I’m saying does not apply to you or Jane. But it does apply to your father #sorrynotsorry

I added in the tags:

Look, I have zero sympathy for the whole poor, maligned Mrs Bennet thing, but also? Mr Bennet is awful too. I'm so glad Darcy actually went out of his way to specify that, lmao. Like. Yes. He shouldn't have, but if he's going to drag the Bennets, it is right and proper to drag Mr Bennet specifically. And then during the Lydia fiasco he just waits for Mr Bennet to leave so he doesn't have to deal with him. akdff;askfad the whole thing at the end where Elizabeth is relieved to see Mr Bennet warming up to Darcy is always ... okay, but is Darcy warming up to Mr Bennet? Because iirc there is not a word about that.

Quite frankly I feel it’s criminal not to reblog @anghraine ‘s tags. Reading her tags is the equivalent for me of reading meta on a great book. Yes, the original post was excellent, now let me get my hands on that nice juicy behind-the-scenes action. Open up that hood and dazzle me with the 6 cylinder fuel injected awesomeness of the hows and whyfores this post was created.

I replied:

Haha, thank you! Personally, I think of it as muttering to myself as I wander off, like the Tumblr Old that I am :P
