I reblogged an animation made by getseth on Tumblr of Fingolfin facing down Morgoth.

Tagged: #and morgoth came #!!! #this is very cool op

I reblogged art of Morgoth with baby Ancalagon and added:

#kj;adfjk;a #look i am pretty sure jrrt never envisioned a world with people drawing baby ancalagon #but it's also exactly appropriate haha

An anon asked:

What are your old and new opinions on Turin Turambar?

I replied:

Old: Túrin is a colossal asshole who brought all his suffering down on himself and would have been able to escape Morgoth’s curse if not for being such a terrible person. (more or less)

New: a) curses in Middle-earth Do Not Work That Way, and b) Túrin is one of Tolkien’s most complex and engaging characters, in both his virtues and his vices—there’s a lot more to him than “lol human disaster area”

(In the tags, I added: #túrin turambar #is honestly pretty fabulous #i'm pretty sure sparkles and tragedy just follow him around)
