As far as the first goes, my many opinions couldn’t really be confined to a manageable-length Tumblr post, so I monologued about it here. [NB: I would really like to transcribe this at some point, but haven't managed it yet.]

I haven’t really read Much Ado About Nothing fic (at least none that stuck with me), but as far as P&P goes, I have some recs here, here, and here.

I'd really like to get back to tolerably well acquainted (...which I'd really like to rename), and I've even written a few scraps for the first time in years. But I have so much feedback to give my students, and then two essays to write (one of which is extremely daunting), and pretty much all fandom activity is just the break I take between Doing Things at this point. 

Honestly, there are worse problems than inspiration striking at an inopportune time, but I'm really feeling like P&P fic right now, and there's this nagging feeling that if I don't write it now, I won't be able to later.

And I can't write it now. So.

I love darcy, but it really does grate on me how he just assumes Elizabeth has a thing for him. Wondering if Jane's cold was severe enough for her to have really come for Jane's sake! Also, when do you think he starts flirting with Elizabeth in earnest? what do you think is the turning point for him - when does he decide to marry her? Love your blog!

I’ll admit that … probably to the surprise of no one, that’s not how I see it. I do not think that Darcy believed Elizabeth had a thing for him personally. That would suggest that he actually thought about it, which tbh I don’t think he did.
