I’m watching SW+This is War vids again (I…used to have a spreadsheet for these) and it’s just such a good match up!

#however i stand by my opinion that luke is 'the victor' and ANAKIN is 'the messiah' #but still!!! nearly all of them are just distilled AHHHHH STAR WARS!!!! feelings #i just watched one that actually had a ton of rogue one clips and :') #saw gerrera as 'the soldier' was perfect! #and another that was just for the prequels (it works best with ot+pt imo) but it was really beautiful #and multiple ones used jyn and cassian for 'to the edge of the earth' :( #(but rightly!!!)

I can't remember if I crossposted this before? It's from January of 2017, so very shortly after I first watched RO, but it's definitely one I'd be sad to lose. So:

I definitely appreciate the warm responses to my position of Star Wars In General and Particularly Rogue One Is Not About Cinnamon Roll Characters, Thank You and Goodbye.

But I am a bit weirded out by the “it’s not about good people! they’re not good people! that’s the point!” I … get it. But I find it very pat.

Hello, Dreamwidth! I've been howling over Rogue One on Tumblr for days now, which is totally fine. Haha. Merry Christmas.

Short version: I think a couple of the criticisms in terms of structure are legit, and also OH MY GOD I LOVE LOVE I LOVE THIS IS PROBABLY MY FAVOURITE SW SINCE EMPIRE OH GODDDDD ALSO TWO OTPS OUT OF ONE MOVIE WHAT A FILM A+++++
