Board for Lothíriel of Dol Amroth, Dúnadan of Gondor and Queen of Rohan

(I had to do a Third Age character!)

anghraine: an armoured female angel holds a sword aloft (aurelia)
I had fun building a character who would be really interesting to play (she’s … not optimized for combat, let’s say), but, alas, no campaign to play her in.

(For maximum tiniest violin: I am playing in a campaign over Discord with some friends from my program, just not one that this character would work for.)

#it's in ravnica so my aasimar divine soul sorcerer wouldn't quiiiite fit in :P

he’s def a túrin type

I replied:

Right? It’s like:

There was a tall man with a fair and noble face, dark-haired and grey-eyed

-

His fair and pleasant face was hideously changed

-

Where now is Boromir the Fair?

-

His head so proud, his face so fair, his limbs they laid to rest

-

His face was more beautiful even than in life

-

Pippin gazing at him saw how closely he resembled his brother Boromir … looking on the fair face of Faramir, [Ioreth] wept

Back in March of 2018, I said:

Cassian is literally wearing his Alliance rank insignia on one of the jackets he puts on to skulk around Eadu.

I reblogged in 2020 with one addition:

I love him

intellectual-carrot replied:

I always assumed this has something to do with rules about being captured as a spy vs as a combatant, which makes no sense given the Empire’s tendency to just…torture random civilians if they want, but at least gives my brain an in-universe explanation.

I said:

I tend to connect it vaguely with his implication that he’s never been captured before (in Saw’s cell on Jedha), but yeah, there isn’t really an explanation. I just think it’s funny :P

I reblogged this post and added:

I stand by this!!!

#i like a lot of siblings but lalwen is the best sibling of them ALL

On second thought, maybe courtier wasn’t the best background for my Aasimar divine soul sorcerer.

#i will use my celestial powers to deferentially attend on nobles! #i'm going to make it work though

hahaha

I said:

I was just thinking of how to make her as mesmer-y as possible, which meant charisma+school of enchantment, which meant sorcerer, and Aasimar seemed interesting and handy for that (and I’ve wanted one forever!), and then divine soul fit with Aasimar, and at the end I was like … wtf even is she

I reblogged this 2018 post—

I love a lot about Gondor, but one of those things?
  1. King Turambar
  2. Steward Húrin I
  3. Steward Túrin I
  4. Lady Rían, daughter of the Steward Barahir
  5. Steward Húrin II
  6. Steward Orodreth, son of the Steward Belecthor I
  7. Lady Morwen, daughter of Belecthor I
  8. Steward Túrin II
  9. Morwen of Lossarnach, descendant of a Prince of Dol Amroth
  10. Ivriniel of Dol Amroth
  11. Finduilas of Dol Amroth
—and added:

Gondor is Narn stanning central tbh
anghraine: padmé seeming taken aback; text: i have never heard of such a brutal & shocking injustice that i cared so little about (padmé [doesn't give a shit])
There are definitely things I like from this era of SW, but ... uh, really not enjoying the return of the "Anakin probably mind-tricked Padmé into loving and marrying him" theory as anything but asinine fanwank that is wildly incompatible with SW film canon as well as the most boring conceivable approach to Padmé's character in AOTC.

[briefly PT critical under the cut]
