I hardly wrote at all, but it was still a fabulous day. I'm on vacation! I bet everyone at Wii Tennis! And unlocked the Lightning Cup! And played with my two thinly-veiled Lucy!toons. Also, I got the final draft of my chapter back from my writing professor, and it was ... a little overwhelming, but amazing.

In other news, I finished the damn essay (synthesis of Northanger Abbey, The Monk, and The Others -- yes, I chose that particular combination) thanks in large degree to hl  for rewatching The Others with me, prodding me with sprints, and generally being awesome. Also finished Ch 9 of Revenge and I'm 400 words into 10, which will hopefully bring Luke and Leia to the same planet for once. Telepathy just isn't the same! I think I actually have some hope of getting this in on time. Hey, even First Impressions was a day late.

Also, hl  and I are going to watch Avatar: the Last Airbender at some point, because she hasn't seen it and I'm always up for rewatching and it will be amazing. I just rewatched The Southern Air Temple today and ;_; but wow, gorgeous. And Jason Isaac's voice will do just fine until we get Mark Hamill's. (QOM!Luke's students make a concerted enough to never anger him, ever, just so he won't use THE VOICE on them. The voice that sounds just like Fire Lord Ozai. The Organa twins are quite well-behaved around him, too. Lyra, on the other hand, doesn't much care. Probably because she sounds just like Azula. :P)

So, I started this intending to talk about the ... irregular circumstances surrounding the guardianship of the Skywalker twins. It mostly just became this incoherent rant about how much Yoda taking command of the twins bothers me. And is probably character-bashing (and maybe PT bashing?), so consider yourself warned.

Finished Ch 7 of Revenge, aka the Department of Backstory - it's really solidified this as equally a PT AU/alternate canon story. Anyway, time for my unpopular opinion of the day, on family resemblance among the Skywalkers.

My dog can't triangulate.

Well, my mother's dog. But she's twelve and heavy and her bones and heart are troubling her, so she mostly likes to just sleep on my fuzzy rugs. And she's twelve now, and apparently her hearing is going wrong, or something. When we call her, she can't seem to tell what direction the sound is coming from - or what direction any sound's coming from, really. She can't turn around easily, but she has to do it all the time now. :(
